Ámantee is pleased to announce that it will host a Special Charity Classical Music Concert on Saturday, November 3rd 2007 from 7.30 pm onwards , featuring the distinguished Thai Flutist Kalaya Phongsathorn with Flutist guest Naraporn Kalaya Na Soontorn and Piano accompanist Pimlapa Suktalordcheep .
We would like to thank our sponsor G Four International who will donate
the wine for this event. G four International will also sell wine during the event,
the proceeds of which will also be donated to BaanFlute School. 
This delightful concert will intrigue Classical music lovers of all persuasions
This one-night-only performance will be a not-to-be-missed opportunity for Bangkok music lovers who wish to support a worthy cause. The price, including dining cocktail and drinks, will be 2,000 THB per person.
Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the BaanFlute School as seed money for their new fund dedicated to young, talented and dedicated Thais musicians with no economical ressources to purchase the musical instrument unabling them to pursue a musical career.
The audience will be restricted to 80 persons. Bookings will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. Reservations may be secured by e-mail ( info@amantee.com ) or telephone (02-982-8695).

Kalaya Phongsathorn - Flutist
Kalaya Phongsathorn started learning flute at the age of nine with Associate Prof. Charunee Hongcharu. At the age of seventeen, she was awarded the recital certificate in flute performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London , and performed in her debut recital to public in 2001.
Kalaya has been participating in various music events, both national and international. She was a principal and second flutist in Thai Youth Orchestra, Chulalongkorn University Symphony Orchestra and The Bangkok Combined Choir and Orchestra. In 2003, Kalaya was an active participant in Julius Baker International Master Classes in Connecticut , USA , and in 2004, Sir James Galway International Flute Master Classes in Weggis , Switzerland . Later, she took a month of private lessons with an Italian flautist, Mr. Claudio Montafia. |

Kalaya entered The Department of Music, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts of Chulalongkorn University with the highest score in the national university entrance examination 2001. In 2006, she was graduated with first class-honour degree (gold medal). Thereafter, she was member of the Asian Youth Orchestra 2006 and was granted a full scholarship from Austrian government to study flute for two semesters at University for Music and Performing Arts, Vienna with Univ. Prof. Mag. Robert Wolf, a principal flutist of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and Concentus Musicus Orchestra.
At present, Kalaya runs her own music school Baanflute , where she also gives flute and music theory lessons. |

Naraporn Kalaya Na Soontorn - Guest flutist
Naraporn started playing the flute at Sara Vidhaya School . He was a member of Thai Youth Orchestra in 1996-2001. Later, he got the highest score in the national art excellence admission and continued his education at Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University in 1999 where he studied with Mr. Worapon Karnveerayothin and Mr. Suncheep Vidhayanakorn.
Since his high school period, Naraporn had opportunities to perform with many bands and orchestras ex. Kasaetsart University Symphonic Orchestra, Sri Nakarinviroj Prasarnmit University Symphony Orchestra, Chulalongkorn University Symphony Orchestra, Bangkok Sinfonietta, Bangkok Philharmonic Orchestra and Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (BSO) both as principal, second flutist and piccolo player. He also performed as a soloist in J.S. Bach: Brandenburg Concerto with Faculty of Education Symphony Orchestra at Chulalongkorn University . |

Pimlapa Suktalordcheep - Piano accompanist
Pimlapa just graduated last March with honor in Piano Performance major from Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, of Chulalongkorn University . Since 2003, she has been teaching at the Siam Music Yamaha School , the same year she has entered Chulalongkorn University . She had attended several masterclasses with world renowned pianists such as Peter Frankl, Boris Berman and James Miltenberger.
Pimlapa began her first piano lesson in 1991, has performed regularly as a soloist in many occasions such as in 2007 at The Festival of Piano and Harp music, 2004-2006 Silgum Concert by Chulalongkorn University as weel as 25 th Conference and festival of Asia Composer League in 2005. Pimlapa has performed as an orchestral pianist with Rangsit Philamornia, also was a repetiteur in the Star Opera project. In addition, she also performed regularly as an accompanist with choirs. |
