Ámantee is pleased to announce that it will host a Jazz Concert on Saturday, October 10th 2009 from 7.30 pm onwards, featuring the distinguished Chinese Jazz singer Coco Zhao with bass accompanist Angel Cruz Garcia and pianist Bhudinant Deeswasmongkol.

This one-night-only performance will be a not-to-be-missed opportunity for Bangkok  music lovers.The net price, including concert, dining cocktail and drinks, will be 1,700 THB per person .

The audience will be restricted to 80 persons. Bookings will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. Reservations may be secured by e-mail ( info@amantee.com ) or telephone (02-982-8695)..

The artists:

Coco Zhao - vocals

Enrolled by Shanghai Conservatory of Music and majored in composition in 1993, Coco studied under Professor Zhao Xiaosheng. At first studying Chinese traditional music he started dedicating himself to the study of modern music, especially jazz.

In 1997, Coco had the great honour of co-operating with world famous jazz vocalist Betty Carter at her performance at the International jazz festival in Shanghai .

Since 1994 famous jazz festivals in France , Holland , Spain , England , Switzerland , Thailand , and Hong Kong have invited him to perform. In 1997 he was invited by Partisan Radio station Europe One to appear in a jazz music program entitled “La Boite de Jazz”; meanwhile performing in multiple renowned jazz bars in Paris . The local media described him as “The Boy Billy Holiday from China ”. During a stay in Germany , Coco performed and studied with Udo Lindenburg, Axel Zwingerberg, and Vince Weber. Coco 's band named “Possicobilities”, was featured at the Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2006 and in 2007 and 2008 in numerous Jazz festivals in North America and Europe.

Angel Garcia Cruz -  Bass

Angel has been dipping in music since he was born from a Cuban family of Musicians in 1976 in La Havana – Cuba .

Angel sings and plays guitar since the age of 5 and begin his formal bass studies in 1992 while performing with non professional bands,

He started his formal professional carrier in 1995 and graduated in 2004 from The Félix Varela Professional Music Scholl of La Habana, Cuba .

Angel has played with several famous bands and orchestra such as: Swing Latino, Falide, Sabor latino, Valentín y su gente de barrio, Dennis y su swing, Típico oriental, Atache Habana, Akana.com, and The Latino Pop Band.

With them he has toured extensively Europe , the Americas and Asia .

Bhudinant Deeswasmongkol - Piano

Bhudinant is a graduate from The Trinity College of Music and Chulalongkhorn University .. Following is musical studies he rapidly became Bangkok 's first call jazz pianist. Over the years he receives numerous music Awards in Thailand such as 2 years Best keyboardist 2001 -02 and Best composed song and Best vocalist – 2001 .

Bhudinant has played with several famous bands such as: The Sirroco Jazz band , The Shinning stars band and The Bangkok International Big Band.
