Ámantee is a repository of Oriental and Tibetan antiques & arts, where favourable prices equitably benefit sources and buyers alike.

Ámantee news: Be aware of the complete closure of all Ámantee operations in Chaeng Wattana road from 17 December 2012 onwards.

Ámantee – The Gallery and Ámantee Le Café will be relocated soon in the city center and will welcome in addition, an Organic French bakery …. Contrary to our previous guesstimate the re-opening,will not be in February/March but rather June/July 2013.

If we trust Vergilius, “Rumor grows up by traveling”… Considering the number of phone and mails we received in the last months from our worldwide customers and the actual size and shape of the rumor, it seems that it is time to shed light on the truth behind the smoke…

We are pleased to announce that Ámantee is soon adding a “Fine organic Bread creation workshop” to its Art operations, in partnership with the famous Bread baker, Benoit Fradette. Benoit is known as one of the artisan of the “Revolution of Bread Baking" - Click on"The rambling epicure"- and one of “Les Nouveaux aventuriers du Pain"; ".....a creative Bread Baker, a bread designer, a taste adventurer, re-inventing his profession with signature Breads"... For further information, see L'express Magazine or this link or again this one,

Opening a French Bakery at the very end of a sub-Soi on Chaeng Wattana road would not have made much sense. Unexpectedly and while searching an appropriate location in the city center we discovered a space not only able to welcome our new bakery, but all our commercial activities namely the Antique Gallery together with Ámantee Le Café. We decided so to close our operations on 17 December 2012 to proceed with the necessary renovation of the new location and re-open in February/March of 2013 there.

A number of factors have been advocating in favor of this somewhat emotionally and arduous but rational business decision. Among them, the last year flooding and its endless and exorbitant consequences on our premises – Our wooden structure is now severely invaded by mold!!! - ; the seemingly everlasting depressed global economic condition; and the increasing difficulty over the last years, for the majority of our loyal customers from town to visit us often, because of dreadful traffic jams on Chaeng Wattana road.

Happily, there's a silver lining to every cloud!!!…Although it will have been difficult to compete with the incomparable charm of our present environment, we decided to approach this new era with a strong desire for renewal.

Spring/summer 2013 will find us set in an unpretentious urban environment with all our focus and energy turn toward kindly serving you with courtesy, elegance and competence and, continue to offer you high quality oriental antique at reasonable prices in our Gallery, a carefully designed Mediterranean cuisine, sensitively prepared with French “savoir faire” in Le Café and fresh crackly loaves of hearty organic breads – “Des pains qui parlent…”- in our Bread workshop.

We will let you know soon the exact date of our re-opening.

Ámantee News January 2011 : Amantee is pleased to announce its re-opening following the necessary restoration to its Antique Gallery and tropical gardens. The grounds were devastated by a spectacular, and unexpected cooperative effort between a wrath of Mother Nature and remarkable administrative slackness... We are happy to celebrate this Year of the Dragon, by offering you hundreds of our renowned high quality antique furniture pieces at discounted prices of 30 up to 50 % compared to our past pricing policy. This is a wonderful opportunity to pick up Amantee's Treasures at shockingly low prices.... Do not hesitate to bring your family and friends, and if, as we are expecting, this new policy generates a serious increase in demand we would be more than happy to make this our definitive pricing policy.

Ámantee Le Café also offers a meeting place for art lovers who can unwind a cool drink or an agreeable lunch in an enchanting environment, feel free of commercial pressures, and savour a choice collection of sensibly priced and regularly replenished furniture, paintings, antiques and decorative items epitomizing Asia 's rich artistic heritage (click here to see our menu)
